ဒီေန႔ကေတာ့ အာတီကယ္ေခၚ (a/an/the/ zero article) အသံုးအႏႈန္းနဲ႔ပတ္သက္လို႔ေလ့က်င့္ခန္းတစ္ခုကိုတင္ေပးလိုက္ပါတယ္။ အာတီကယ္အသံုးျပဳပံု အသံုးျပဳနည္းနဲ႔ပတ္သက္လို႔ ဤေနရာတြင္ေလ့လာပါ။

A, an, the ကို Articles (နာမ္ညႊန္စကား)ဟုေခၚသည္။ Articles ကို ဤေနရာတြင္ အနည္းသာေဖာ္ျပမည္ျဖစ္ၿပီး အေသးစိတ္ကို ေနာက္ဆက္တြဲက႑တြင္ ေဖာ္ျပပါမည္။ a, ႏွင့္ an ကို ‘Indefinite Article’ (မတိက်ေသာ နာမ္ညႊန္းစကား) ဟုေခၚၿပီး၊ ‘the’ ကို ‘Definite Article’ (တိက်ေသာ နာမ္ညႊန္းစကား)ဟုေခၚသည္။

            

       Articles အသံုးျပဳနည္း ဥပေဒၾကမ္းသံုးရပ္

.      Uncountable Noun (C.N) “ေရတြက္၍မရေသာနာမ္ပုဒ္မ်ား” ကို ဝါက်တြင္

(က) ပထမဆံုးသံုးေသာအခါ Article မပါပဲသံုးသည္။ (water, milk, sand, etc)

(ခ) ဒုတိယ၊ တတိယဝါက်တြင္ျပန္သံုးေသာအခါ ‘the’ ႏွင့္တြဲသံုးသည္။ (the water, the milk, ect.)

(ဂ) သိၿပီးေသာ နာမ္ပုဒ္ဟူသမွ်ကိုညႊန္းဆိုရာင္တြင္၄င္း၊ ကမၻာေပၚတြင္ တစ္ခုတည္းသာ႐ွိေသာ နာမ္ပုဒ္ႏွင့္ ေတာေတာင္၊ ပင္လယ္စသည္ကိုညႊန္းဆိုရာတို႔၌လည္း   ‘the’ ကိုသံုးသည္။ ( the Bay of Bengal, the Kaladan River, etc.)

.      Countable Noun (C.N) “ေရတြက္၍ရေသာ” ဗဟုဝုစ္ နာမ္ပုဒ္မ်ားကို ဝါက်တြင္

(က) ပထမဆံုးသံုးေသာအခါ Article မပါပဲသံုးသည္။ (books, boys, etc.)

(ခ) ဒုတိယ၊ တတိယ ဝါက်တြင္ျပန္သံုးေသာအခါ ‘the’ ႏွင့္တြဲသံုးသည္။ (the books, the boys, etc.)

.      Countable Noun (C.N) “ေရတြက္၍ရေသာ” ဧကဝုစ္နာမ္မ်ားတြင္

(က) အမ်ားထဲမွ တစ္ခုကို ‘a, an’ တစ္ခုခုႏွင့္အၿမဲတြဲရသည္။ ( a book, an ox, etc.)

(ခ) ထိုေနရာတဝိုက္၌ တစ္ေယာက္တစ္ခုတည္းသာ႐ွိေသာအခါ ‘the’ ျဖင့္တြဲသံုးရသည္။ (the book, the boy, etc.)

မွတ္ခ်က္။ ။

1.      Countable Noun (C.N) ဧကဝုစ္ကို ‘a, an, the’ တစ္ခုခုမပါပဲသံုးကမွားသည္။ ထိုေၾကာင့္ Countable Noun (C.N) ေ႐ွ႔တြင္ ‘a, an, the’ တစ္ခုခုအၿမဲပါရသည္။ ( a, an, the + C.N)

2.       Article မပါဘဲသံုးထားေသာ  1 (က) ႏွင့္ 2 (က) တို႔ကို Zero Article ျဖင့္သံုးသည္ဟုလည္း ေျပာဆိုၾကသည္။

1.      Consonant Sound (ဗ်ည္းသံ) ျဖင့္စေသာ Countable Noun ဧကဝုစ္နာမ္ေ႐ွ႕တြင္ ‘a’ ကိုသာသံုးရသည္။
