အတိတ္ကျပဳလုပ္တဲ့အေလ့အထရွိခဲ့တယ္။ သို႔ေသာ္လည္း ယခုတြင္ မလုပ္ေတာ့ ဆိုသည့္သေဘာ ကိုေျပာဆို ေရးသားလိုေသာအခါတြင္ used to +v1 ျဖင့္ေရး ေျပာရသည္။
အတိတ္က ျပဳလုပ္ေလ့မရွိခဲ့။ သို႔ေသာ္ ယခုတြင္ ျပဳလုပ္ေနေၾကာင္းကို ေျပာဆိုေရးသားခ်င္ရင္ေတာ့ didn't use to + v1 ျဖင့္ေရး ေျပာရသည္။

• S+used to +V အေလ့အထရွိခဲ့သည္ 

I used to smoke 20 cigarettes a day.
ကၽြန္ေတာ္ တစ္ေန႔ကို စီကရက္ အလိပ္ ၂၀ ေသာက္ေလ့ရွိခဲ့တယ္။

• used to ႏွင့္ didn't used to တို႔တြင္ အၿမဲတမ္းဆန္႔က်င္ဖက္ သေဘာေဆာင္တဲ့ အဓိပၸါယ္ရွိတယ္။ မ်ားေသာအားျဖင့္ but ျဖင့္တြဲေရးရတဲ့ ဝါက်ရွိတယ္။ ဟိုတုန္းကေတာ့ လုပ္ခဲ့တယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ အခုေတာ့ မလုပ္ေတာ့ဘူး ဆိုတဲ့အဓပၸါယ္ပါပဲ။

Lisa is American, but she lives in Britain. When she first drove a car in Britain, she found it very difficult because she had to drive on the left, not on the right. Driving on the left was strange and difficult for her because:

But after a lot of practice, driving on t he left became less strange. So:
